Some photos from today @ NSSF SHOT Show - Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show.

Let me start off first by saying that this event was massive. Everyone was there of course and you could play with all those firearms you've only dreamed of getting your hands on. You name it, they had it. From firearms and holsters to night vision and waterproof notebooks. (With the rainy season just around the corner, I of course picked up a water proof notebook.)

There just aren't enough hours in the day to cover the whole convention center, thats probably why this show is 4 days long. Enough of me going on and on and on... If you didn't make it this time, I definitely suggest smuggling yourself in next time. Even if you are not a vendor or retailer that can afford to order 20 P90's at a time, it's still a very informative and rewarding time.

Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Free Entrance Days in the National Parks on Jan 14th-16th.

Everyone loves FREE stuff, so mark your calendars for the upcoming MLK Jr. weekend on Jan 14th-16th. More than 100 different parks participate in 'FREE entrance day' so there is bound to be one near you. Load up the the truck with your dog and your buddies this year for MLK weekend and get some fresh air.

Plan early so you can search for additional discounts and take advantage of special offers from park partners, like tours and other fun stuff.  Depending on what park you go to, the campsite reservations can be totally booked days in advance, so don't put off making those phone calls.

Many of the 397 national parks NEVER charge an entrance fee.

I'll probably be heading to the Grand Canyon this time around and the NPPC has some great stuff going on there.

*Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos.

Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.
Alice: How do you know I'm mad?
The Cat: You must be. Or you wouldn't have come here.

i LOVE this guy.
